Transition

Since I've been home from Africa transition is in full swing. Though I'm getting pretty good with change, a LOT at one time can be overwhelming. But I am continuously reminded that God is in everything even when we have NO IDEA what He's up to.

A few things I'm thankful for in all this:
- My husband--I am beyond blessed by my hubby. He has way too much to put up with (meaning me, mostly), but he gives and gives and loves always...even when not loving might be an easier choice at the moment
- The uncertain--God keeps bringing this our direction in a lot of different ways, I think as a reminder to not get caught up in our own little worlds and to remember to trust Him with everything. It's not always easy, but life is an adventure, and thankfully we have chosen to live His adventure for our lives.
- Provision--all of this being His provision. As a married couple in America, it seems that you start off fairly poor and get better off as life goes on. Well, we seemed to have done it backwards! We're about to celebrate our 3rd anniversary on November 5th, and we are flat broke! I'm not sure what happened, and though this was not planned, God's provision keeps getting better and better. It's not always what we'd like it to look like, but He uses others to bless us in unique and creative ways. And it would be boring if He just always provided $$ when we needed it! So, we are thankful for His creativity and for His faithfulness to us.

There are more...but for now I leave you with this...Matt and I made a very intentional decision when we got married: We will always obey God's call for us, no matter what that looks like. A tad scary at times, but I would rather live in hardships with Christ, than in pure comfort without Christ. It's just not worth it.
