Startin' to feel like Job

Since we've been home from Africa, life has been drowning us piece-by-piece. We didn't even really have a chance to recuperate from our trip before life hit us hard. We've had financial issues, family issues, more financial issues, and issues in just about every other area of life. And honestly, I'm pooped!

Matt and I were talking yesterday (after we were surprised with yet another financial issue), and decided that we're being tested! Now, we've known this since day #1 back from Africa (which was September 5th), but now we're really starting to realize the extent of this testing. And we came to this conclusion...we are a commonday Job.

But, this is a blessing in disguise. Satan is using everything he can right now to discourage us, but we will continue to stand strong in faith that Christ will get us through. And He has! So, we just picture God saying, "Go ahead Satan...mess with them. They're not going to turn against me." And that is true. So here we stand (knee deep, but we're standing!), praying for peace in the midst of the storm(s) and pray that if we continue to be tested, we continue to grow closer to God individually and in our marriage.

So, we're standing...But we appreciate any prayers you can send our way. And we pray that through your prayers, you too feel God closer than ever before.
