The four-sided intersection with only 3 stoplights—Where’s the fourth one? We just go when it seems possible (and usually pretty quickly!)

Delivery trucks—Mailmen, pizza delivery guys, & even Subway sandwich delivery guys all drive motorcycles with enclosed baskets on the back. It’s fun to watch!

Moms & Dads—It’s so fun to watch the parents get just as involved in our kids programs as our kids. If we pass out candy, they’re the first in line!

Jobs—Kids of all ages (young and O-L-D) have to work. There are lots of hardworking grandpas & grandmas bagging groceries at Walmart.

Restaurants—Waiters will not bring your check until ask for it. As a matter of fact, you can sit at a table for hours without them ever bringing it to you. But once you ask, they stand slightly off to the side and watch while you prepare the money.

Dogs—All dogs hang around on rooftops. I’m not sure how they get up there, or how they stay up there, but there they are!

Babies—Even though it’s blazing hot here, moms wrap their kids up in winter clothing year round; long-sleeved onesies, winter jackets, and beanies. Makes me hot just to look at them (and I’m cold-blooded)!

Emergency Flashers—Drivers here in Mexico use their emergency flashers all the time – slowing down, coming to a stop, parking – just about anything. I kinda like it and think we should adapt it in the US. It would probably help drivers out in California!

Parking Lots—everywhere you go you pay to park. Everywhere.
