Here's an update on life since June 4th, 2010...
--Surprise trip to CA for 10 days. Return to Guadalajara for 2 days. Work with Covina team for 9 days. Have 1 day off. Sister-in-law visits for 10 days . Take 3 days off. Last-minute trip to Mexico City for 4 days. Have 1 day to pack up house. Work with Hillcrest team for 10 days. Have despedida while working with team. Have 2 days to officially pack & move out of house. Move into Engage house. Have 2 yard sales. Get Bailey-Buns fixed. Enjoy 7 days in Guadalajara . Drive home to CA--

Yep, we've had a lot going on. And now we're home (otherwise known as Azusa, CA): smog, high gas prices, freeways, traffic, & talk of foreclosures, wild fires, & the economy. Yep, that's home. But there's also been time with family & good friends, yummy food, the street fair in Monrovia, swimming, & kettle korn. It's good to be home.

But it is a tough transition for us. So many good friends left behind in Guadalajara. So many amazing memories & stretching times. It will really become reality in a couple of weeks, when we realize our students are returning & we're not just home for a vacation. This is real life now. And all we can say about that is ONE DAY AT A TIME. That's all we can do, really.

Each day we pray together for God's guidance, direction, purpose. We pray that God will reveal to us His plan in His time. And so for now, we wait. Each day we search for jobs & places to live. Some days are extremely overwhelming & others are like we never left. But one thing we know: we are where God would have us to be at this time. And for that we are grateful.
